Mental Health Nurse

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to serve as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the Regular Force.

Requirements

• Be a Jamaican citizen or a Commonwealth National
• Be registered with the Nursing Council of Jamaica
• Hold the qualification of RN, RM and Masters of Science in Nursing (Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
• Have at least five (5) years experience in a similar capacity

Duties and responsibilities

• Overseeing and maintaining the mental health and wellness for members of the JDF and their families.
• Provide counselling to members of the JDF and their families.

Key competency

• Have an aptitude and desire to assimilate into military life.
