Medical Officers

The Western Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health with responsibility for the management and operations of the Public Health Services within the parishes of St. James, Hanover, Trelawny & Westmoreland invites applications from qualified professionals for the following positions:

Senior Resident – HPC/MO3 (OBGYN)

Consultant – HPC/MO4 (Psychiatry - 2 positions)

HPC/MO2 (5 positions)

HPC/MO1 and 2

Location: Cornwall Regional Hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited medical school;
• Registration with the Medical Council of Jamaica;
• Current Practicing Certificate;
• Three (3) years relevant post-registration experience (HPC/MO2 - HPC/MO4 only);
• Postgraduate degree in relevant medical specialty (HPC/MO2 - HPC/MO4 only).

Specific knowledge / Skills required

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent analytical skills;
• Excellent tie management and team building skills.
