Resident Caregivers
The Caregiver provides general support to the Family in the direct care and development of the children.
Position: Resident Caregiver
Location: Kingston and Montego Bay (Male & Female)
Required education and Experience
- Educated to Secondary Level;
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with children and youth;
- Certificate in Child Care or Caregiving;
- Experience in Home Management to include family budgeting;
- Ability to operate a computer to intermediate level.
Knowledge, skills and attributes
- Knowledge of Child Rights and Protection Act;
- Comprehensive of child, youth and family development;
- Knowledge of Positive Parenting techniques promoting child participation;
- Ability to work as part of a Team;
- Mental Alertness and Strong Motivation
- Positive attitude and perseverance;
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff;
- Ability to reside on the village with children in a family setting;
- Willingness to make long term commitment.
