Paediatric Occupational Therapist

A leading child assessment organization seeks an Occupational Therapist for employment.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in the field
• Sound knowledge of Special Education
• Report writing and administrative skills

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine

Trained in

•  Diagnosing the fine motor functioning of children in relationship to their sensory-motor, neuro-psychological and cognitive characteristics and are able to:
  1. perform evaluations to determine clients functioning level
  2. develop individualized intervention plans
  3. select and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance client performance in deveopmental areas, based on the intervention plan
  4. are  able to modify the environment as needed based on the intervention plan
  5. monitor clients  progress through observation and consultation with other professionals to determine the effect of intervention and need for communication, modification or termination of services
  6. review outcomes and modifies intervention programmes
  7. document occupational therapy intervention services and maintain records and case notes
  8. participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to cmmunicate client progress
  9. use good time management skills
  10. lead, motivate and initiate.

Note

 Salary ranges from $2.8 and $3.3 million plus allowances.
