Pharmacy Technician
The North East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health with responsibility for the management and delivery of public health services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking a dynamic, proactive, experienced and analytical individual with strong team player skills to fill the position of Pharmacy Technician (HTAC/PHT 1) in the Parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland.
Reporting to the Pharmacist, the individual is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical and clerical services at the pharmacy, thus promoting customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a Pharmacy Technician certificate /Diploma from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year working experience in a pharmacy environment.
Key Duties
- Supporting the Pharmacist in the accurate processing and filling of prescriptions.
- Inputting accurate client and medication data in computer in keeping with Standard Operating Protocols.
- Assisting with the receivable and checking of goods in keeping with approved purchase requisition.
- Ensuring accuracy of entry of invoices.
- Assisting in maintaining accurate inventory for pharmaceutical items.
Required Skills
- Ability to operate computer
- Working knowledge of pharmacy software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good time management
- Excellent customer service skills
