Lecturer in Nursing

Lecturer in Nursing (clear vacancy).

The successful candidate(s) should assume duties effective September 2021.

Requirements

• Master of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Post-Basic training certification in a related specialization
• Teacher training certification from an accredited institution
• Current license to practice nursing in Jamaica
• At least three years nursing experience
• At least five years teaching experience

Note

Ability to teach Mental Health and Midwifery would be advantageous.

Registered Nurses without teaching certification may be employed as Assistant Lecturers initially. However, it is expected that within two (2) years of employment, the person engaged would have attained teacher training. Those with fewer than five (5) years teaching experience may be engaged as Assistant Lecturers until he/she has attained the criteria for Lecturer.
