Director, Health Services Support & Monitoring

Position: Director, Health Services Support & Monitoring (HPC/MO 6) [Vacant]

JOB PURPOSE

Planning for care delivery programme at all levels thereby ensuring that strong systems and linkages are established and maintained. Managing performance and assuring quality for each of the specialized areas of medical care. Providing advice to a wide cross section of government and other agencies on medical technical issues.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Medical School, registered to practice in Jamaica
• Management Training.
• Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant health specialty.
• Seven (7) years progressive and responsible experience with at least four (4) years’ experience at a Senior Health Management Level. OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development, monitoring and purchasing of the medical equipment requirement of the Ministry of Health
• Implementation of the Units Operational  Plan
• Plans, organizes and coordinates the work and activities of the Health Services Support and Monitoring Unit.

Key outputs

• Training programme for Medical Professionals prepared and submitted to the Training Unit.
• Quality Assurance reports prepared.
• Annual Work plans and reports prepared.
• Annual budget for the Unit prepared.
• Programme targets (SLAs) developed.
• Annual budget for medical equipment prepared.
• Professional guidance provided.
• Monitoring of Health centers
• Intersectoral Collaboration
• Operational Plan for the Unit prepared and implemented
• Appropriate Interventions
• Medical examination reports reviewed
• International Health Collaboration.

Salary Scale - Minimum: $4,705,151 to Maximum: $5,592,946
