Matron (IAC / IA 2)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Matron (IAC / IA 2) at the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation.

Summary of Duties

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipal Corporation, the incumbent is responsible for directing, monitoring and controlling the operations of the infirmary.

Qualification and Experience

• Registered (General) Nurse;
• Two (2) years experience at the Administrative level;
• Aptitude for working among the socially deprived;
• A minimum of three (3) years experience;
• Successful completion of the Board of Supervisors Diploma in Human Services (Required for appointment).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as Manager of the Infirmary;
• Ensuring that general nursing care is given to residents;
• Enabling physical, mental and social well-being of residents;
• Operating an imprest and accounting for funds expended;
• Ensuring adequate custody and authorized use of food, bedding and other household items;
• Ensuring protection of staff and residents.

Salary

• Ranges from $1,453,516 to $1,727,774 a year and any allowances attached to the post.
