Pharmacist

Fontana Pharmacy is inviting persons to apply for the position of Pharmacist (full-time) at its Savanna-la-mar and Montego Bay Branches.

Start date: April 4, 2022

Qualifications & Experience

• At least three (3) years work experience;
• A Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, from a recognized tertiary institution;
• Must be a Licensed Registered Pharmacist;
• Knowledge in Pharmacy operations;
• At least three (3) years post qualification experience in a retail pharmacy;
• Certificate in Supervisory Management.

Role & Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets physicians orders
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects and drug interactions
• Proper management of patient records and pharmacy files
• Provide quality professional customer service at all times
• Provide advice on selection of over-the-counter medications to treat common illnesses such as flu, cold sores or headaches
• Supervise pharmacy staff members including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy cashiers, etc.
• Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
