Head Pharmacist

Fontana Pharmacy is inviting persons to apply for the position of Head Pharmacist at its Montego Bay Branch.

Qualification and Experience

• A Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, from a recognized tertiary institution
• Certification in Pharmacology
• Must be a licensed Registered Pharmacist (at the time of application)
• At least five (5) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
• Certification in Supervisory Management
• Highly self motivated and excellent organizational skills
• must be computer literate with excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel
• Strong administrative and communication skills
• must be customer service oriented

Role and Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets physicians orders
• supervises pre-packing of drugs and control procedures
• Upkeep of patient medication histories in computer system
• Maintain efficient inventory management system to minimize wastage
• Ensures that drugs are appropriately labelled, stored and utilized according to physicians instructions
• Manage and Provide quality professional dispensing service for customers, check medicines and prescriptions and offer appropriate advice and guidance to meet customers needs.
