Assistant Matron (HPC/RN4)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Matron (HPC/RN4) at the St. Ann Municipal Corporation.

Location: St. Ann Infirmary

Qualification and Experience

• BSc. in Nursing from a recognized tertiary institution;
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica;
• At least three (3) years of clinical practice;
• Possession of the relevant Certificate/Diploma from the Board of Supervision would be an asset. However, the Diploma is a requirement for appointment.

Educational requirements

• Exercise direct supervision of the work done by Patient Care Assistants, Nurses Aides, Cleaners and Cooks;
• Exercise direct supervision of Nursing Care;
• Assist in Administrative duties;
• Implement Occupational Therapy under the direction of the Physiotherapist;
• Assist in maintaining discipline of residents and staff;
• Assist in ensuring safety on wards and environment;
• Assist in in-service training exercise;
• To assume duties of the Matron in her absence.

Salary

Ranges from $1,944,796 to $2,311,751 per year and any allowance(s) attached to the post.
