Matron (HPC/RN5)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Matron (HPC/RN5) at the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation.
Summary of Duties
Under the general direction of the Inspector of Poor, the incumbent is responsible for managing the operation of the infirmary, including Nursing Services and ensuring the residents physical, mental and social well-being in accordance with various Laws, Acts and Regulations.
Qualification and Experience
- BSc. in Nursing from a recognized tertiary institution;
- Registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica;
- At least seven (7) years of clinical practice; at least two (2) years in a managerial/supervisory position;
- Experience working with the Elderly population would be an asset;
- Possession of the relevant Certificate/Diploma from the Board of Supervision would be an asset. However, the Diploma is a requirement for appointment.
Salary
Ranges from $2,254,290 to $2,679,643 per year and any allowance(s) attached to the post.
