Research Assistant / Nurse

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is seeking a Consultant (Research Assistant / Nurse) to assist the Project Coordinator with the implementation of the National COVID-19 Research Agenda, Long COVID Project. The Research Assistant / Nurse will perform the day-to-day field research activities associated with implementation of this project and is responsible for collection and storage of data and sample, as well as clinical measurements in support of the implementation of research activities associate with the project.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) indicating their qualifications and experiences.

Requirements

The Consultant must meet the minimum required qualification as detailed below or based on equivalency. Equivalency decisions  are made on the basis of a combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.

• A Masters Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology/Social Sciences/Statistics/Other science-related field;
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in the implementation of research projects;
• Experience in project management;
• Experience in writing of project and scientific reports;
• Experience with phlebotomy, sample handling and storage;
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in or with the public sector.

Scope of work

The scope of services includes but is not limited to:

• Monitor and support implementation of research project activities;
• Cooperation with counterparts;
• Dissemination of findings.
