The Western Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Wellness  with responsibility for the management and  operation of Public Health Services within the  parishes of St. James, Hanover, Trelawny, &  Westmoreland invites applications from qualified Medical Officers to fill positions in the following  specialty at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

Specialty Department

• Paediatric
• Internal Medicine
• Accident & Emergency
• Anaesthesiology
• General Surgery
• Psychiatrist
• Nephrology

Skill Level

• Junior Resident (HPC/ MO 1)
• Senior Resident (HPC/ MO 3)
• Resident (HPC/ MO 2)
• Consultant (HPC/ MO 4)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with satisfactory internship;
• Post Graduate qualification in requisite specialty;
• Fully registered with the Medical Council of Jamaica;
• A minimum of two (2) years post graduate experience;
• Updated Annual Practicing Certificate;
• Ability to provide effective leadership and work as part of a team;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and  demonstrated ability to establish and  maintain satisfactory working relationships  with a wide cross section of professionals  and organizations;
• Excellent analytical and forecasting skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Excellent communication skills.
