Medical Officer (MO3)

Position: Medical Officer (HPC /MO 3), Psychiatric

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Medical Services Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Job Purpose

The Medical Officers 3 is responsible for assessing, evaluating and prescribing treatment for the patients/clients through the Medical Services Branch; making appropriate referrals for further treatment that cannot be managed appropriately in the Branch. S/he will through the Medical Director assist in the strategic planning, policy formulation and research activities within the Branch and also provide supervision for the Family Nurse Practitioner, other senior Nurses and clinical support staff.

Education & Experience

• MBBS Degree or equivalent in Medicine;
• Graduate of an accredited Medical School plus five (5) years relevant experience;
• Post-graduate qualification in a specialized area of medicine;
• Post-graduate training in Management or Public Health.

Salary

Salary range: $8,921,315 - $10,604,640 per annum
