Ministry of Health and Wellness is having their  Health & Wellness Career Expo & Employment Fair at the Confucius Institute, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

Interviews will be conducted between 9am and noon and 1pm and 5pm on January 22 - 23, 2025

Position: Specialist Nurse (HPC / RN 2)

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution;
• Completion of the prescribed specialist  training Registered with the Nursing  Council of Jamaica;
• Three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse

   

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate critically ill patients requiring specific nursing care;
• Interpret biochemical data and act appropriately  through quick strategic decisions;
• Teach, supervise and evaluate various categories of  healthcare workers;
• Follow established  guidelines in caring for mechanical devices and  instruments;
• Initiate patient management in  crisis situations;
• Supervise and evaluate  Enrolled Assistant Nurses and Attendants;
• Establish and maintain an interpersonal
  relationship with the health team and client.

Salary

Per annum: $4,359,501 - $5,182,077
