The Western Regional Health Authority (a Statutory Body of the Ministry of Health & Wellness) is currently seeking to employ the following:

Post: Medical Officer (HPC/MO 3)

Location:  Savanna-La-Mar Hospital

Salary scale:  $8,921,315 - $10,604,640 per annum

Summary

Supports the Senior Medical Officer or Consultant by effectively managing patient cases; both elective and emergencies for assigned firms; providing clinical expertise, making critical  decisions, promoting and facilitating teaching and research, supporting the Hospital’s clinical governance programmes and encouraging commitment to and development of medical  services that will translate into excellent service  delivery.

Requirements

• Registered Medical Practitioner;
• Annual Registration with the Medical Council of Jamaica;
• Graduate from an accredited medical institution;
• Post graduate professional qualification in the area of specialty;
• Five (5) years progressive and responsible
  experience in the Specialty;
• Peer Approved.
