Medical Imaging Practitioner MIP 1
The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of public health services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking a strong, dynamic, and proactive individuals to fill the position of Medical Imaging Practitioner (HPC/MIP 1) at the St. Ann`s Bay Regional Hospital.
Summary
Reporting to the Chief Medical Imaging Practitioner, the incumbent will be responsible for performing activities associated with delivery of diagnostic radiography services within a specified radiology facility.
Salary Range: $3,241,533 – $3,853,164 per annum
Requirements
- First degree in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent;
- One (1) year experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities
- Performing general x-ray and other imaging procedures according to international standards as directed by protocol and as per medical requisition;
- Performing bedside and operative radiography, in consultation with the Senior Radiographer, using prescribed protocols;
- Managing imaging examinations in accordance with approved patient care procedures;
- Manipulating imaging equipment using electrical factors in accordance with radiation safety regulations;
- Performing emergency x-rays outside of normal working hours.
