Physiotherapist PT 4

The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of public health services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking a strong, dynamic, and proactive individual to fill the position of Physiotherapist (HPC/PT 4) at the Port Antonio Hospital.
Summary
The incumbent is required to manage a Specialty Unit in the Physiotherapy Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy or Diploma in Physiotherapy from an accredited training institution
- Diploma in Administrative/Supervisory/Health Sector Management/Public Administration, Health
Administration or equivalent - At least (6) years` experience as a Physiotherapist
- Current licensure to practice in Jamaica
Responsibilities
- Plans the operations of the Specialty Unit to ensure efficient delivery of Physiotherapy Services
- Ensures the efficient and effective utilization of human and material resources to achieve the objectives of the Specialty Unit
- Establishes a preventative maintenance schedule for the Department and liaises with the relevant department to ensure that equipment requiring servicing are treated in a timely manner
- Prepares monthly/annual reports on the operations of the Specialty Unit
- Attends and participates in inter and intra Department Meetings
- Assists in the annual inventory or stock-taking exercise
- Provides technical advice and guidance to medical consultant/specialists clinical management of patients/clinics
- Provides emergency coverage outside of normal working hours, when necessary
- Plans, implement and monitor clinical programmes for Physiotherapy Interns and Students
- Coordinates and participates in In-service education programmes for the Specialty Unit
- Audits statistical information presented by junior Physiotherapists to ensure accuracy in the management of patients
- Consults with multi-disciplinary health care team as necessary

Salary Scale
$5,055,684 – $6,009,620 per annum
