Live-In Geriatric Nurse

A suitable and qualified individual is being sought to fill the position of a Live-In Geriatric Nurse. The selected person will be responsible for taking care of an elderly lady.

Qualifications

• Professional certification in Geriatric Nursing
• A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar capacity

Duties include

• Working closely with the patient's physician to understand health issues and course of treatment
• Observing and assessing the health of the patient, which includes monitoring vitals and administering medications at appropriate times and dosages
• Perform rehabilitative treatment as necessary
• Closely monitor changes in behaviour and health and report findings directly to the patient's family and or medical physician
• Aid with preparing meals, toileting and getting in and out of bed.
• Provide companionship so as to promote emotional well-being
