Pharmacy Inspector


Job Purpose

To inspect registered pharmacies to evaluate compliance with all aspects of the Pharmacy Act and Regulations and to apply the law and relevant sanctions in the areas where the requirements are not being met.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Pharamacy Degree
  • Specialized training in the Pharmacy Laws
  • At least five (5) years broad based knowledge in pharmacy (retail, regulatory, distributive / manufacturing)

 

Skills and Specialized Techniques

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and to work on own initiative
  • Ability to display good leadership qualities and to set and maintain professional standards

 

Key Outputs

  • Legal operatin of all pharmacies according to standards
  • Recommendations for appropriate classifications of drugs
  • Records Management
  • Consultations with clients and stakeholders
  • Traiing Support for CE and Stakeholder seminars

 

Working Conditions

  • Required to travel islandwide
  • Owned and operate a reliable motor vehicle
  • May be required to work beyond normal working hours
  • Stressful working conditions
  • Physically demanding
