Senior Manager

Centre for Child Assessment and Research in Education seeks an experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as Senior Manager - Diagnostic & Therapeutic Services.

Qualification & Experience

• Ph.D. (preferred or Masters degree in clinical / educational psychology
• At least 5 years clinical experience in similar setting
• Adminstrative and supervisory skills and experience
• Solid knowledge of the Jamaican education system
• Teacher training / experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the work of the Clinical team
• Leading the team in the execution of diagnostic and therapeutic services
• conducting training and development
• Devising prescriptive strategies for parents and teachers
• Initiating and directing research and development activities
• Serving as member of resource team for schools need assistance in planning for students with special needs
• Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field of Special Education
• Developing behaviour modification programes and behaviour management strategies for children who are emotionally disturbed
• Performing other duties as may be required
