Guidance Counsellor / Lecturer

Knox Community College is a premier multi-disciplinary tertiary educational institution with four campuses in central Jamaica. Applications are invited for the position of Guidance Counsellor / Lecturer

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Guidance & Counselling OR 
• Bachelors Degree in Clinical Psychology
• Masters Degree in the above captioned content area will have a distinct advantage
• Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching or Teaching Certification.
• At least five years teaching experience.
• Knowledge of Tertiary Educational systems will be an asset.

Requirements

• Display good oral and written communication skills.
• Have the ability to use the school system itself to create maximum opportunities for and in the development of students.
• Have the ability to initiate or facilitate opportunities for leadership and growth among students.
• Maintain supportive professional relationship with students and staff.
• Possess knowledge of the legal obligations versus ethics impacting on professional practice.
• Be able to document a comprehensive guidance and counselling programme.
