Phlebotomist

Qualifications

• Certificate in Phlebotomy
• Customer Service Training
• Three (3) CXC subjects: English, Mathematics and Human Biology
• Experience in Microsoft Word is a plus
• Experience in Practical Nurse training is a plus

Job summary

• Interacting with all participants in health care delivery
• Blood taking/Phlebotomy
• Processing medical speciments
• Preparing  Health insurance claims (electronic and paper)
• Ensuring confidentiality of medical information
• Adhering to the Code of Ethics

Knowledge

• Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written)
• Excellent Telephone Techniques and Customer Service
• Skill in dealing with the public
